Simone Kalau Personal Fitness InstructorSimonne Kalau has been active in the athletic world her entire life, with a focus on sports at a fairly accomplished level in Figure Skating, Soccer, Triathlon, Duathlon, Equestrian, Rowing , Cross-country Running, Middle-distance Running, Downhill Skiing, Cross-country Skiing , Olympic Lifting , and Cross-fit.
Simonne currently holds certificates as a Personal Trainer with Can-Fit-Pro ( as a personal fitness instructor, pre and post-natal fitness instructor, and masters level fitness instructor), Agatsu KettleBell level 1 training, Cross-fit level 1 instructor, and Cross-fit level 1 weightlifting. A constant learner, her studies include Adaptive Athlete development with Crossroad Adaptive Alliance, Mobility Workout of the Day (WOD) on-line with Dr. Kelly Starrett, and on-line Functional Movement Screening and Assessment. She is currently attending the Physiotherapy Assistant program at Nova Scotia Community College and has practised as a licenced Primary Care Paramedic in Nova Scotia in the past ten years. Simonne believes that all people have the capacity to improve their quality of life by implementing regular, proper functional movement in their daily routines to not only increase health and longevity, but with patient and correct training, to also achieve higher levels of performance. |
